About Us

Since 1918, the Ohio Association of Professional Fire Fighters (OAPFF) has proudly represented the brave men and women who protect communities across the Buckeye State. As the fire service has evolved to include emergency medical services, rescue operations, and rapid response to both natural and man-made emergencies, the OAPFF has expanded its programs and resources to meet the changing needs of its members.

While firefighters serve on the front lines every day, the OAPFF stands beside them—advocating for their rights, health, safety, and well-being. From representing members at the Ohio Statehouse to supporting local unions in their communities, the Association is committed to providing strong leadership, guidance, and effective advocacy.

Our success is built on teamwork, unity, and a shared commitment to serving our members. Through the dedication of our Executive Board, professional staff, local affiliate leaders, and members across the state, the OAPFF continues to be a trusted voice for Ohio's professional firefighters. Together, we remain ready to support our affiliates and ensure they have the resources they need to protect those who protect our communities.
