Peer Supporter Meredith Hill

Meredith has been a firefighter/paramedic for the Toledo Fire and Rescue Department since 2002.  She has been married to her husband Glenn for 15 years who is also a Toledo Firefighter.  Meredith is a proud mother to Garrett, Marcie, and step-mom to Grace.

Meredith has always lived her life focusing on helping others, on and off the job.  Meredith and her family manage Pumpkin Hill, a family pumpkin patch, donating all proceeds to families in need within their community. Meredith is also active on Local 92’s Executive Board.

Meredith was diagnosed with clinical depression 20 years ago and PTSD in 2014 after the Toledo double Line of Duty Deaths.  Meredith was on duty that day and was one of the paramedics that worked on one of her (our) Brothers.

Meredith has a passion for the mental health of firefighters and first responders.  She has first-hand knowledge of how to deal with these issues.

Meredith is living proof that early diagnosis and treatment works.
